A brasserie on two floors that’s the essence of Rennes and caters for all budgets. Located in the historic city centre, near the Couvent des Jacobins in the new Centre des Congrès de Rennes. Choose your surroundings to suit your mood; the atmospheric lounge with its comfortable easy chairs beside the lively bar area, or the velvet banquette in the cosy saloon.
And on fine days you can sit out on the terrace on Place des Lices or Place Saint-Michel.
All our dishes start from raw ingredients prepared and cooked on the premises by our chef Philippe Faget and his team.

It’s no wonder that visitors are drawn to Le Pavillon’s tables in this part of the city, once known as the Place du Bout du Monde – The World’s End. The brasserie is open all day so come for an ice cream or a freshly-made cocktail whenever you feel like a break, or drop in after work for drinks and tapas with friends; sit on the open-air terrace to enjoy the lively city atmosphere or the morning sun..
Le marché des Lices
Lunch on the terrace beside the market – one of the best markets in France that’s been going since 1622. The new market halls were built by Jean-Baptiste Martenot between 1868 and 1871 and are classified as historical monuments.
Here you’ll find food producers and artisans, florists, musicians and biscuit sellers!
The place owes its name to the mediaeval tournaments known as ‘les lices’ that were once held here.

You can experience Pavillon à la carte with creamy risottos, Aberdeen Angus sirloin steak with sate and honey, and a variety of Asian wok dishes, and not forgetting our snack corner for devotees of new trends.
We also cater for vegetarian and vegan customers, offering several varieties of bowls, wok dishes and Asian buns.
